Richard A. Nello

Richard A. Nello, age 74, passed away on March 28, 2026. Born on April 22, 1951, in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late Anthony J. Nello and Corrine (Mack) Nello. Richard was a proud graduate of Clifton Heights High School. He played football and his nickname on the team was “Tank”. He went on to build a successful career as an Information Technology Specialist, a profession he dedicated himself to until his retirement. However, he often fondly recalled his earlier years as a manager of a local paint store. It had been a role that he had really enjoyed. At home he made all the color decisions. Formerly of Clifton Heights and Delaware, Richard lived for the last 10 years in Drexel Hill with his wife Linda. They married in 2018. Richard was an avid golfer who found great joy on the course with his sons, his friends and his wife. He enjoyed traveling on golf trips whenever he had the opportunity. He and Linda took many golf vacations around the country and even to Hawaii. He was also a devoted fan of the University of Alabama football team……Roll Tide. Above all, Richard was a true family man and a devoted husband. He loved being a Dad and a Pop to his grandchildren. He looked forward to his weekly visits to play with them and attending their extracurricular activities. He loved coaching his sons in baseball in the Claymont Little League. He will be remembered for his love, his strength while fighting his illness, his dedication to family and the love he shared with Linda, his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is predeceased by his sister, Linda Dougherty. Richard is survived by his wife, Linda (Lockhart) Nello; children, Katie (Joel) Ladzinski, Justin (Julie) Wilkers and Josh (Renee) Wilkers; grandchildren, Kobe and Marley; sister, Sandie (Tim) Holden; nephews, Cory Halloran and Daniel Holden. Richard also leaves many extended family members. Graveside Service: Wednesday, April 22nd 11:00 am at Holy Cross Cemetery 626 Bailey Road Yeadon. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at Anthony’s Ristorante at 865 West Springfield Road, Springfield, Pa 19064.
