Flaviano Thomas Lelii

Flaviano “Tom” Lelii, age 79, of Gradyville, PA, and formerly of West Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025. Born in Abruzzi, Italy, Tom was the son of the late Orlando and Norina Lelii. He grew up in West Philadelphia and was a proud graduate of Our Lady of Angels and St. Thomas More High School. A hardworking man with a deep passion for the outdoors, Tom owned and operated Tom Lelii Landscaping, serving clients throughout the Main Line for many years. Known for his strong work ethic and skilled craftsmanship, he even built his own home—a testament to his dedication and determination. Tom had a vibrant personality and many passions. He was a lifelong fan of Philadelphia sports, enjoyed horses, riding his Harley-Davidson, and most of all his 57’ Chevy. Tom loved to travel, a former bodybuilder he competed in various competitions and trained regularly at Atilis Gym during his summers in Wildwood. He also shared his love of sports as a football coach for St. Donato in West Philadelphia. Above all, Tom was a devoted family man. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by his loved ones. He especially cherished time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Jenna Marie Jackson, and his brother Mario Lelii. He is survived by his loving wife Joann (Sava) Lelii, and his devoted children: Kim (Matt) Varava, Deanna Lelii, and Dawn Marie (Wayne) Jackson. He was a proud grandfather to Sophia Desko, Nick Varava, Lucas Varava, Laura Rippert, Sarah Jackson, and Christina Jackson. Cherished great-grandfather to Christopher, Ava, Savannah, Joey, Scarlett, and Cillian. Tom is also survived by his siblings: Clara Lelii, Roseann (Dave) Morrison, Norina Lelii, John (Connie) Lelii, Joseph (Kim) Lelii, and Victor (Wu) Lelii, his sister-in-law Beth Lelii, and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Tom's legacy of love, strength, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
