Cynthia L. Martin-Furia

Cynthia (Cindy) Louise Martin-Furia, age 69, of Media, Pennsylvania, died peacefully at home on January 24, 2026. Cindy will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 42 years, and best friend, Joseph (Joe) Lind Furia. She is also survived by her siblings Michael (Linda), Jan, Kit, Jay (Heather), Maryanne (Joe), Lisa, and Tina; sister-in-law Felicia (John) Gallagher; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members. She now joins her parents and her brothers, Jeffery and Brian, eternally in Heaven. Born on October 11, 1956, in Darby, Pennsylvania, Cindy was the third daughter of James and Mary Martin (née Sirna) and one of the ten children in the Martin family. Growing up in a large and loving household, Cindy’s devotion as a daughter, sister, and aunt was unwavering throughout her life; family first was the motto she lived and loved by. Growing up in the tight-knit community of Lansdowne, PA, Cindy completed her elementary and middle school education at St. Philomena’s Catholic School. Shortly after graduating from Lansdowne Aldan High School in 1974, Cindy began her lifetime career in the insurance industry. Cindy always adapted to the ever-changing complexities of insurance sales and service with an ethical integrity second to none. Cindy’s thirst for knowledge, keen attention to detail, client-centric focus, and impeccable work ethic proved her success as a trusted advisor in her field for over 5 decades. Her most rewarding role and focus until her death was the senior market as a Medicare specialist. Cindy’s dedication to her clients provided them with reassurance and confidence, knowing they could trust her to treat them like she would her own family. Cindy was known for the never-ending kindness and compassion which she showed to everyone in her life. Her unwavering care for others and resilience made her an anchor for her family. She carried on the best qualities of her parents, like her mother’s gentleness and thoughtfulness, and father’s perseverance. She was generous with her time, always there to listen, advise, and laugh both with and at you. She was a loyal friend and had the ability to make people laugh with her witty humor. She took pleasure in learning new things and reading books. Cindy found great delight in exploring the world, with Italy being one of her favorite destinations. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church, 200 S Oak Avenue, Primos, PA 19018. There will be a visitation from 10–11 a.m., followed by the funeral mass.
