May 7, 1963 - June 3, 2021
Laurie Braconnier-Schol passed away on June 3, 2021 in hospice at Reading Hospital at the age of 58. Laurie was born to John & Joan Braconnier May 7, 1963 at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Lansdowne, PA. She was raised in Springfield Delaware County. Laurie had many accomplishments in her lifetime. She was a graduate in the Class of 1981 at Cardinal O’Hara High School. She became a young mother and devoted those early years to being home to raise her children. She also spent time babysitting other people’s children, teaching gym class at St. Francis of Assisi, spent years as Team Mom prepping Football Jerseys, in addition to spending years as the co-director of the Springfield Youth Club Cheerleading program. Laurie went back to school after her kids had grown and spent time learning in classes at Penn State Delco, later graduating from CHI Institute with her diploma as a Certified Medical Assistant. Laurie had a bright smile and loving personality. She loved the beach, her family, all things holidays, making crafts, and eating mints. Didn’t matter if they were Andes Mints, Altoids mints, or candy canes she loved them all. Laurie would always decorate for and celebrate each holiday. Location was not important. Whereever she was the decorations went up to brighten everyone else’s spirits around her and to show how much she loved holidays, St. Patrick’s day and Christmas being her favorites. She spent a lot of time doing crafts at home often giving them as gifts to family and friends. Laurie loved watching her grandchildren grow and seeing them live a happy and healthy life. Laurie was pre-deceased by her brothers James and Paul. Survived by her parents, John & Joan Braconnier, her siblings Joan Marie Curtis (Thomas), John Braconnier (Suzanne), and Stephen Braconnier, her four children Kathryn Spellman (Sean), Aubrey Braconnier (John), Adrienne Brand (Jeffrey), and Stephen Schol (Jessica), her eleven grandchildren, also her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
