Karen J. Menditto

January 16, 1961 - April 22, 2022

The family of John (Giovanno) and Jean Menditto, (deceased), longtime residents of Springfield, sadly announce the passing of their daughter, Karen Jean Menditto, 61 years old, on April 22, 2022. She is survived by her beloved son, Nicholas Giovanno Menditto, of Springfield, a sister, Regina Amos, of Virginia, a brother, John Salvatore Menditto, of Rutledge and nieces and nephews she loved dearly. Karen went home to be with our parents peacefully in her sleep after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease. She was a life-long lover of animals of all kinds with a special heart for rescues. We know her Lola will miss her. Sitting at the foot of Jesus, no pain, no more suffering, just eternal peace, and the unconditional love of our Father in Heaven. We will miss her deeply. Love one another. Karen succumbed to end-stage renal failure while waiting for a donor. In lieu of memorial and flowers, a donation in Karen’s memory to The National Kidney Foundation would be meaningful.
