John F. Connolly

June 15, 1932 - January 1, 2022

John F. " Rip" Connolly, 89 a resident of Darby passed away on January 1, 2022. John was born in Philadelphia to the late Harry and Marie (Miller) Connolly. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Rip was retired from Asbestos Workers Local 14. He was a member of the American Legion Post 507 in Norwood. Rip was also a member of Darby Fire Co. #2. He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas. Rip was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. Predeceased by his daughter, Carol Ann Connolly. Survived by his wife of 28 years, Karen L. (Russell) Connolly; children, John Connolly Jr., Michael Connolly and Lisa Connolly; brother, Kent Connolly; sister in law, Linda Russell, Kim (Guy) Petrowski; brother in law, Charles (Rebecca) Russell. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
