Edward Fulton Jr.

On Saturday, October 28, 2023, Edward Fulton, Jr. was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after an extended period of declining health conditions. Edward Fulton, Jr. was born in Philadelphia on July 1, 1947. He was the eldest of 7 children born to the late Mary Alice and Edward Fulton, Sr. He was affectionately known as “Deat.” As a toddler he loved to eat and would pronounce the word eat as “deat.” He was very intelligent and was known to be a wordsmith. He was also a very talented dancer. Edward was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and was highly popular in his High School, Benjamin Franklin High. He met and fell in love with, Patricia Ann (Richards) in their late teenage years. Edward and Patricia (Patsy) were married on October 8, 1965. Shortly after they married, Edward enlisted in The United States Air Force on August 5, 1965 and was proud to serve his country for four years. During his time in the Air Force, Edward and Patsy lived in Denver, Colorado welcoming their daughter Nadine on April 23 1966. They returned home to Philadelphia after his honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant from The United States Air Force in 1969. Edward and Patsy welcome their daughter Veda on November 2, 1973. Edward graduated as a Chef from the Restaurant School in Philadelphia. Edward then went on to work in Food Service Management for several years. He shifted careers into Telecommunications working for Bell Telephone as a Telephone Operator and was featured in one of their first television commercials. Edward was well known for his love for the Lord, Jesus Christ. Edward and his family joined the Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church, where he served as Minister and later was ordained as a Pastor. Edward’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, traveling, cooking, dancing, and preaching. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Alice Fulton, his father Edward Fulton, Sr. and his loving wife Patricia Ann Fulton. He leaves to mourn his passing his daughters Nadine and Veda, grandchildren; Daniel, Nadia and Rodney, Jr.; his siblings Dianne (Samuel), Kenneth (Gayle), Denise, Marion, Marilyn, Elaine, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
