Ronald A. Carter

Ronald A. “Big Dog” Carter, age 55 a resident of Drexel Hill formerly of Clifton Heights passed away on October 22, 2022. Ron was born in Drexel Hill to the late Ronald and Bernadette (Burnley) Carter. He was a 1985 graduate of Upper Darby High School. Ron proudly served in the United States Army during Desert Storm and received a medal of achievement for killing an enemy tank. Later, he attended and graduated from Temple University and Widener University of Law. Ron worked as a Criminal Defense and Workman’s Compensation Lawyer for Sand and Saidel in Philadelphia. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Ron played softball for many years in Delco. He was the cleanup hitter for the Clifton Inn. Later, he volunteered his time coaching his kids’ sports teams. Ron enjoyed golf and bartending at the Clifton Inn and Murray’s Bar. He loved spending time with his family especially his children. Ron was a loving father, brother, nephew, uncle and cousin who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Bernadette (Burnley) Carter; grandparents, Del and Mary Burnley. Survived by his children, Maddy Rose Carter and Gavin Carter ; sister, Maureen “Renie” (Michael) Roby; aunt and uncle, Gary and Maureen Heslin; nieces and nephews, Allison, Matthew, and Kayleigh Roby; cousins, Lindsay and Brian Eury. Ron was also survived by many lifelong friends as well as all the dear friends he met during his life journey. Visitation: Sunday, 5:00 pm at Williams Lombardo Funeral Home 33 W. Baltimore Avenue Clifton Heights. Funeral Service: Sunday, 8:00 pm at Williams Lombardo Funeral Home.
