Robert H. Stump Jr., age 68, a resident of Collingdale passed away on August 6, 2025 Born on May 8, 1957, in Darby, PA, to his parents Margaret Dowd and the late Robert Stump Sr. He worked for Septa for over 25 years. Bob’s accomplishments consisted of him unintentionally saving two people’s lives while trying to sneak a smoke break at work. He was known for his loud infectious laugh, sense of humor, and his ability to make everyone feel included. Bob was also known for his love of Pepsi served over obnoxious amounts of ice. He was an avid motorcyclist and even continued to ride after losing his leg in an accident. Bob was passionate and preferred to reflect that in a “D” minor tone at all times due to his inability to use his inside voice. He has developed an interest in politics over the last five years. He has almost brainwashed himself with the amount of Trump based news he watches. To the point of going to his first Trump rally or as I marked in my calendar “my father’s poor decisions.” He has made some interesting choices, but the only one I could never take seriously was his ridiculous yet unwavering dedication to Trump. Over all Robert was known for his kindness, humor, and resilience. Bob was a Legend, his legacy was never meant to leave something behind for people, but rather to leave something instilled in people. Bob leaves behind a very dysfunctional family that he was very proud of and loved deeply. As well as of a lot of “stuff” making it even harder to complete our scavenger hunt to find all the important documents. Predeceased by grandmother, Kathryn Stump; father, Robert Stump Jr.; step Mother, Nancy Stump; sister Dorothy Dowd Survived by his loving wife of 43 years Barbara A. (Shanfelter) Stump; son, Jason Stump; daughter, Diane (Stump) Golden “Effie”; mother Margret Dowd; step father Daniel Dowd; brothers Jeff Stump, Eric Stump, Daniel Stump, David Stump, Daniel Dowd; cousin Rose Crispin; grandchildren; Brittany Johnson, Jay Stump, Daniel Stump, Ashley Golden, Jaxson Golden III and Gavin Golden. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. Memorial Service: Saturday, August 23rd 10:00 am at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church 199 W. Baltimore Avenue Clifton Heights.
