Maureen T. Maguire

Maureen T. (nee Mengel) Maguire, 64 a lifelong resident of Clifton Heights passed away on November 25, 2021. Maureen was born in Darby to the late Edward and Helen (Hayes) Mengel. A graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School, she was a lifelong resident of Clifton Heights. Reenie worked for the Upper Darby School District as a Teachers Assistant at Primos Elementary School, primarily for Special Eduation, but loved and cared for every student. She was a involved member of St. Eugene Church in Primos, following in her late mother’s footsteps. Reenie loved her Irish heritage just as much as she loved to travel. Favorite places included Avalon, NJ, and her favorite vacation location, Outer Banks, NC. She also loved to shop. To her loved-ones, she was known as a “Professional Shopper”, especially when it came to anything Disney. More than anything, Reenie loved spending time with her family. She deeply cared about her family and was always the cheerleader for them. Reenie genuinely enjoyed giving and helping anyone she could. Maureen will be missed by all of her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Robert Maguire; brother, Paul Mengel and nephew Kevin Mengel, Jr. She is survived by her children, Colin (Danielle) Maguire, Brian Maguire and Brendan Maguire; Siblings, Edward (Grace) Mengel, Rosemary (Edmund) Mancinelli, William (Carol) Mengel and Kevin (Carrie) Mengel; Nieces and Nephews, Edward, Grace Ann, Edmund Jr, Kathleen, Jennifer, Michelle, Christopher, Ryan and Maia; Cousin and Dear Friend, Dianne Hayes. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews along with all of her friends and colleagues at Primos Elementary School. Visitation: Wednesday, 9:30 am at St. Eugene Church 200 S. Oak Ave. Primos. Funeral Mass: Wednesday, 10:30 am at St. Eugene Church.
