Lee Brown

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lee Brown (nee Deeth) who died on September 16, 2025, which happens to be her late husband’s birthday. Lee was the beloved wife of the late Alexander "Al" M. Brown, Sr. affectionately known as "Brownie," who passed away on April 29, 2023. Lee, a longtime Springfield resident who grew up in Roxborough, dedicated her life to serving her community. After graduating from Roxborough High School, she enjoyed a fulfilling career with the Springfield School District. Lee was a longtime volunteer with the Springfield Ambulance Corps, embodying the spirit of service and compassion. Her unwavering support for Philadelphia sports teams was a testament to her spirited nature and love for her city. Lee’s late husband Al was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran who left behind a legacy of warmth and humor. Born in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, Al was known for his captivating storytelling, infectious singing, and lively dancing, making everyone feel like part of his extended family. His passion for life shone through in his love of golf, bowling, and poker, where he shared laughter and camaraderie with friends and loved ones. Together, Al and Lee created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their shared passions and commitment to each other and their community will forever be remembered. They leave behind a legacy of kindness and joy, reminding us all to celebrate life, family, and friendship. Survived by their children, Al, Jr. (Jackie), Barbara Lutz (Ronny), Janet Mount (Jack), Nancy Coughlin and Raymond (Valerie); grandchildren, Lauren Free (Rick), Megan Brown, Samantha, Danielle and Matthew Lutz, Andrea Brassell, Alex and Elisa Brown, and Jake Coughlin (Amber); great grandchildren, Francis, Alexander, Jacob and Tallulah. As a testament to their giving nature, both Lee and Al donated their bodies to science. This memorial service is being held to honor their lives and the indelible mark they left on everyone who knew them. Their Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Kovacs Lombardo Funeral Home, 530 W. Woodland Avenue, Springfield, PA.
