Daniel Joseph Bark, 23, of Briarcliffe, PA, sadly left us on July 30, 2023. The youngest of four children, Daniel was born 9-9-99 to Kimberly (Coppock) and Robert Bark, Jr. Daniel was a loving son, a caring brother, the favorite uncle and a loyal friend. “Danny” grew up in Briarcliffe and was a graduate of Our Lady of Fatima where, during his 8th grade year, he and his football teammates went undefeated in their division and played in the Catholic League Regional Championship. Danny was offered numerous scholarships to attend high school and play football, but chose Archmere Academy. It was around this time Danny discovered his true love of sports and he started playing rugby for Media Rugby Association. His love for the game was evident and his passion on the field excelled him to compete with teams across the country. Danny was part of an amazing team at Archmere that won many championships, including the 7’s tournament held in Chester, PA, where he played at the Philadelphia Union’s Soccer Stadium Field. Danny was fortunate enough to be selected by the Atlantic Coast Rugby Team that would choose only 12 boys to participate in a tournament in Las Vegas. Danny played for this team for three years in a row and during his third year the team went on to win the championship, beating other teams from all across the country and Canada. Danny was a graduate of Ridley High School. Danny loved sports, hunting and fishing and was the kind of kid, when a group of friends were hanging out, was in the back, ankle deep in the crick, chasing frogs and squirrels. He loved the outdoors, he loved getting messy. He loved animals and even brought home a pet goat once. Danny was a hard worker - strong as an ox. He always put people before himself. He was always smiling and always the life of the party. Danny had an undeniable gravitational pull towards people. Everyone who knew him just wanted to be around him. He gave his friends confidence. His presence was nothing short of a gift. He had a deep understanding of love and loyalty, and always did right by the people he loved. Danny loved his family more than anything else. He would put a lot of thought and love into giving someone a gift on a holiday or birthday, and it made him very happy to make others smile. This trait went well beyond his family. Danny had a knack of making people smile. He was very charismatic. He was polite and kind. Anyone who knew Danny knew what a kind-hearted, old soul he was and will never forget his larger-than-life personality. Danny’s memory lives on through his mother Kim, his father Bobby, his brother Bobby (Jess) and his two sisters Amanda and Courtney. His memory will help guide his niece and two nephews - Alexis, Lucas and Mason - through the ups and downs of life. Daniel is predeceased by his grandparents, Joanne M. Bark (DiMenna) and William Joseph Coppock, and survived by his grandparents, Miriam A. Coppock (Harding) and Robert J. Bark along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. “Dan the Man” will be missed but he touched so many during his short time with us. Delaware County will not be the same without Danny Bark. He had friends in every town. He had a circle no matter what part of Delco he was in and was loved by all. Heroes get remembered…Legends never die.
