Ann Marie Rombach

Rombach, Ann Marie "Annie" (nee McFadden)., 64 Ann Marie "Annie" (nee McFadden) Rombach, 64, of Aston, died September 23, 2016 at Delaware County Memorial Hospital after a brief but hard hitting illness. Ann Marie was born in Philadelphia to Daniel J. McFadden and the late Margaret M. (nee Lavan) McFadden. She was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School and West Chester University and was a school teacher for some time. Annie was a 26 year employee of Wawa, first working in the stores, and then as a call center analyst at the corporate headquarters. Sometimes she was able to work from home which she loved because she could stay with her puppies. When she worked at the Primos Wawa store, she met her future husband, Bill, in 1991. Bill was driving over the road, and whenever Ann could, she took rides with him and they took time off for sightseeing from Bangor Maine to Miami Florida. They also took many vacations such as Tennessee and Virginia Beach, taking Toni Marie, Bill’s daughter. One of the best things about Ann was her awe at new experiences; she had a childlike wonder that was so fantastic. She enjoyed crocheting, and whether it was for family or friends from work; many, many people have baby blankets, spreads, booties and hats. A great number of them had the tag, “Made with Love by Annie” stitched into it. She would be sitting at home crocheting and say, “I have to get this one done because so-and-so is pregnant”. Once Bill and Ann settled in their home in Aston, they began rescuing Beagle's. She didn’t have dogs before but her heart couldn’t refuse those faces. Mostly, the senior dogs, older than people want at adoption, Ann wanted them all to have a forever home. She loved caring and spending time with her husband and the dogs they rescued, taking them for walks and to dog parks or just cuddling up on her love seat with one of the pups. Ann had some new nephews and nieces who she was excited about, she loved the looks on their faces. And, she was so excited about soon to become a grandmother from Toni and Dan! Ann said she wanted to fight. She wanted to be here longer, with Bill, her family, her dogs. She loved her life and everyone she had in it. Predeceased by her mother Margaret M. McFadden and brothers Thomas and Daniel McFadden. Survivors: husband William A. "Thumper" Rombach; daughter Toni Marie (Dan) Natale; father Daniel J. McFadden; sister Margie (Paul) Bruno; brother Michael McFadden. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Saturday, 9:00 am at Williams Lombardo Funeral Home, 33 W.
