Ann Marie (nee Shamis) Law beloved wife, mother and Nonni passed away at home in Secane, Pa at the age of 57 surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born on January 21st, 1964 in Philadelphia to the late Frank and Theresa (nee Sgambato) Shamis. Ann is a graduate of Sacred Heart grade school in Clifton Heights and 1982 graduate of Monsignor Bonner Archbishop Prendergast High School. Ann was a lifelong devoted resident of Clifton Heights and Upper Darby Township. Ann is delco through and through. Ann loved to travel, her favorite locations were Maine and Massachusetts. She loved to cook, read, garden, go to concerts, flea markets, carnivals, ghost hunting, wicken culture, craft fairs. She was an avid animal lover; her fur babies Sully, Penny, Mac and Casey are her world. Family and friends most of all is everything to Ann. Ann was dedicated and devoted in everything she did, from working for Upper Darby School District in Stonehurst Hills Elementary School for over 16 years, Upper Darby Township for 7 years, volunteered for the township as committee chairperson for over a decade, All the while raising four children on her own. Ann was handed an unfair deal of life with nothing short of heartbreak, misfortune and sorrow. She always persevered and wore her burdens like a coat of armor. To describe Ann is, unique, witty, intelligent, empathetic, compassionate, loyal and drop dead gorgeous. Ann is the definition of MILF never even having to try or notice herself. 16 years ago, her life lit up when she met the love of her life, her beloved husband Michael Law and she truly got to feel and live what happiness is supposed to be. There is a saying, “The days are long, but the years are short” When Ann finally received the joy she deserved, it then took a back seat when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. Ann fought like the warrior she is through chemo, surgery, radiation and then chemo again. While suffering through every set back of infection and side effect you could think of, she continued to fight, but the fight became too strong when the disease spread to her brain November of 2020. Ann is survived by her loving husband Michael Law, daughters Jennifer (nee Goerlach) Wilson/ son in law Travis Wilson, Jessica Goerlach, Kimberly (nee Goerlach) Dougherty/ son in law Jim Dougherty, Holly Law, Son Mark Goerlach, Brian Law/ daughter in law Erin Law and Nick law. Grandchildren Jimmy, Michael, Vincent, Colin, Eric, Riley, Audrey, Stephen, Abigail, Kennedy, Muirin, Madison, Travin and Bianca.
