Colette M. Walsh

Born: June 11, 1955 Born to Eternal Life: April 4, 2020 Colette Marie Walsh was born the 8th of 13 children to Renee (née LeMarquand) and Raymond Walsh, and passed from this world to the next on April 4 from heart disease. She was a wonderful daughter and loving sister. Colette leaves behind, her loving fiance, Joseph Kozlowski, her beloved daughter, Kelly Jean (née Stenson) Staudt (Mike) and 3 darling grandsons, Braedon Lawrence, (11), Caleb Robert (9) and Dylan Christopher (2). She also leaves behind brothers and sisters, Michael Walsh, Cathleen Grandizio (Carmen), Dennis Walsh, Kevin Walsh (Terri), Christopher Walsh (Patti), Brendan Walsh (Darlene), Timmy Walsh, Mary (Mimi) Logan (Brian) and Regina Eggles (Danny). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her Mother and Father, Renee and Raymond Walsh, her sisters, Monica McGregor (Paul), Eileen Zelek, her brother, Joseph Walsh and niece, Renee Grandizio. Colette attended St. Charles and Sacred Heart Catholic elementary schools, then went on to attend and graduate from Clifton Heights High School in 1973. She furthered her undergraduate studies at St. Joseph University with honors, and received Certification for Unit Clerk at DCCC. She also studied and passed testing to obtain her Real Estate License. Her first job was working in Philadelphia doing administrative work, and spent the majority of her career years working at Bryn Mawr and Lankenau Hospitals. She loved watching the news, financial shows, and politics and followed them closely. She was highly opinionated about her views and spoke them without apology. She was spirited and loved to laugh and she had a great sense of humor. She was passionate about learning and was knowledgeable about many varied subjects, including the stock market. She believed in God and was very devoted to prayer (especially to the Blessed Mother, and St. Therese). Most of all she loved her daughter, Kelly, and her grandsons, Braedon, Caleb and Dylan. And, was extremely proud of them. What she didn’t achieve in worldly ways, she overachieved in kindness and would do anything possible to encourage and cajole her fellow man, mostly those who suffer. She literally would give the shirt off of her back for anyone in need. She was a resourceful shopper, and dreamed of opening her own Thrift Store—but, that was not to be. Before she died she spoke of traveling to Minneapolis to see her daughter and grandchildren, she spoke of her adopted orphans, her private regrets, COVID 19, my girls’, and she was happy and hopeful about her future. Despite a rather tough life, I believe the motto most suited to her is: Hope Springs Eternal. You will be sadly missed by this world, and by all those that loved you so. Love you, Colette!
